

In different driving situations, the human-machine interaction efficiency such as the convenience and accuracy of operation and use directly affects driving safety and operation efficiency. It is of great significance to explore the impact of different interaction forms on driving behavior.

The laboratory is divided into three areas of interest (AOI), namely touch screen area, road observation area, and air-conditioning control area. The main experimental indicators collected are the number of fixation points, total fixation time, average fixation time, percentage of fixation time, and line of sight movement trajectory.

① When completing the task of turning on the air conditioner and navigating, the total gaze time of the voice control is always greater than that of the touch control. When completing the task of turning on the air conditioner, the total gaze time of the voice control (11068ms) is 1.6 times that of the total gaze time of the touch control (6963 ms), indicating that the efficiency of voice control is lower than that of touch control when completing the task of turning on the air conditioner and navigating.

② When completing the task of turning on the air conditioner, the total gaze time (2682ms) of the touch screen area is equivalent to that of the voice (2581ms). When completing the navigation task, the total gaze time (7483ms) of the touch screen area is 1.8 times that of the voice (4119ms), and the gaze time percentage (73.67%) of the touch screen area is 2.2 times that of the voice (33.04%), indicating that compared with turning on the air conditioner, the use of voice control can effectively reduce the gaze time of the touch screen area when the driver completes the navigation task during driving, increase the attention of road observation, and improve driving safety.
