The 27th National Industrial Design Academic Conference (Xi'an) will be held in Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, Weiyang District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province from December 8 to 11, 2023.

Industrial design is constantly changing and promoting industrial upgrading, and it takes different forms in different eras, countries and regions. Development is the eternal theme of all disciplines and majors, and the same is true of industrial design. At present, China is focusing on promoting high-quality development, promoting new industrialization, promoting the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry and continuously forming a new development pattern. As an important innovative force, industrial design is an important driver for the development of the national economy and the strategy of cultural power. At the same time, the rapid development of digitalization and intelligence has also brought about in-depth changes in the industrial industry and design education.
In 2023, which coincides with the 10th anniversary of the "Belt and Road Initiative" initiative, how to better promote the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road Initiative", serve the Chinese path to modernization and industrial system, implement the rural revitalization strategy and innovation-driven development strategy, and help the development of the western region has become an important issue in the current development of industrial design. The 27th National Industrial Design Academic Annual Conference will focus on the above issues, bring together experts and scholars from all walks of life, and deeply integrate the theory, method and practice of the "Belt and Road Initiative" into the collision and intersection of industrial design.
This academic annual meeting will systematically and deeply explore: the connotation and extension of industrial design, the industrial design system that meets the needs of society and the times, and the design innovation method and creation system based on cultural integration and symbiosis, to construct the development path of Chinese industrial design with "Chinese characteristics and the characteristics of the times".
